When a number is increased by 18, it becomes 106% of itself. What is the number?

Solution

Let the number be $$100x$$

According to ques, => $$100x + 18 = \frac{106}{100} \times 100x$$

=> $$100x + 18 = 106x$$

=> $$106x - 100x = 18$$

=> $$x = \frac{18}{6} = 3$$

$$\therefore$$ Number = $$100 \times 3 = 300$$

=> Ans - (A)
