The committee members are to be selected from five shortlisted professors (Prof. Ahuja, Prof. Banerjee, Prof. Chakravarty, Prof. Das and Prof. Equbal) and four short listed students (Prakash, Queen, Ravi and Sushil). Some conditions for selection of the committee members are given below:
i. Prof. Ahuja and Sushil have to be together
ii. Prakash cannot be put with Ravi
iii. Prof. Das and Queen cannot go together
iv. Prof. Chakravarty and Prof. Equbal have to be selected
v. Ravi cannot be selected with Prof. Banerjee.
In case Prof. Ahuja and Prof. Chakravarty are members of the committee, which of the following options can't be the list of the remaining three members of the committee?
Given Prof. Ahuja and Prof. Chakravarty are members of the committee.
From condition i, since Prof. Ahuja is part of the committee, Sushil has to be part of the committee.
From condition iv, Prof. Equbal is also part of the committee.
Among the options, Option C doesn't include Sushil. So, option C is the answer.
