Question 94

The diameter of a circle is equal to the side of the square. What is the area of the square if the area of the circle is 36π sq cm?

Let radius of circle = $$r$$ cm

=> Area of circle = $$\pi r^2 = 36 \pi$$

=> $$r = \sqrt{36} = 6$$ cm

Thus, diameter of circle = Side of square = 12 cm

$$\therefore$$ Area of square = $$(12)^2 = 144$$ $$cm^2$$

=> Ans - (B)
