∆XYZ is similar to ∆PQR. If ratio of Perimeter of ∆XYZ and Perimeter of ∆PQR is 16:9 and PQ = 3.6 cm, then what is the length(in cm) of XY?
Solution
For similar triangles, ratio of perimeters = ratio of corrosponding sides
XY/PQ = 16/9
XY/3.6 = 16/9
XY = 6.4
So the answer is option C.
