ΔABC is right angled at B. BD is an altitude. DC = 9 cm and AC = 25 cm. What is the value of BC (in cm)?

ΔABC and ΔBDC are similar

AC/BC = BC/DC

25/x = x/9

225 = $$x^{2}$$

x = 15 = BC

So the answer is option D.
