Two numbers are 90% and 75% lesser than a third number. By what % should the first number be increased so that it becomes equal to the second number?

Solution

Let say, third number is x.

So, first and second number is 0.10x and 0.25x .

So, first number shall be increased by

((0.25x-0.10x)/0.10x)×100=150% .

C is correct choice.
