Question 90

If 6A = 7B = 5C; find A : B : C

Solution

Let $$6A = 7B = 5C = k$$

=> $$A = \frac{k}{6}$$ , $$B = \frac{k}{7}$$ , $$C = \frac{k}{5}$$

=> Ratio of A : B : C = $$\frac{k}{6} : \frac{k}{7} : \frac{k}{5}$$

= $$\frac{1}{6}$$ : $$\frac{1}{7}$$ : $$\frac{1}{5}$$

L.C.M. of 5,6 and 7 = 210, thus multiplying by 210, we get :

= $$\frac{210}{6} : \frac{210}{7} : \frac{210}{5}$$

= 35 : 30 : 42

=> Ans - (D)
