Question 90

An angle is twice its complementary angle. What is the measure of the angle?

Solution

Let the angle = $$\theta$$

Its complementary angle = $$(2\theta)$$

Sum of an angle and its complementary angle = 90°

=> $$\theta + (2\theta) = 90$$°

=> $$3 \theta = 90$$°

=> $$\theta = \frac{90}{3} = 30$$°

$$\therefore$$ Measure of the angle = $$2 \times 30 = 60$$°

=> Ans - (C)
