43, 172, 86, 344, ?

The pattern followed is that the numbers are alternatively multiplied by '4' and $$'\frac{1}{2}'$$

43 $$\times4$$ = 172

172 $$\times\frac{1}{2}$$ = 86

86 $$\times4$$ = 344

344 $$\times\frac{1}{2}$$ = 172
