Question 9

A started a business with the capital of Rs 1800. After 4 months B joined with Rs 3600. 6 months after the business started C joined with Rs 1200. If the total profit earned at the end of the year is Rs 1760, then what is the share (in Rs) of A?

Amount invested by A = Rs. 1800 for 12 months

Amount invested by B = Rs. 3600 for 8 months

Amount invested by C = Rs. 1200 for 6 months

=> Ratio of profit of A:B:C = $$(1800\times12):(3600\times8):(1200\times6)$$

= $$216:288:72=3:4:1$$

Total profit = Rs. 1760

$$\therefore$$ A's share = $$\frac{3}{(3+4+1)}\times1760$$

= $$3\times220=Rs.$$ $$660$$

=> Ans - (B)
