The 2nd and 6th term of an arithmetic progression are 8 and 20 respectively. What is the 20th term?
Solution
$$T_{2}$$ = a + d = 8-------(1)
$$T_{6}$$ = a + 5d = 20-------(2)
on solving (1) AND (2)
d = 3 & a = 5
$$T_{20}$$ = a + 19d = 5 + 19(3) = 62
So the answer is option C.
