If 3x +­ 7 = 5x ­+ 1, then the numerical value of $$(x + 4)^2$$ is

Solution

Expression : 3x +­ 7 = 5x ­+ 1

=> $$5x - 3x = 7 - 1 = 6$$

=> $$x = \frac{6}{2} = 3$$

To find : $$(x + 4)^2$$

= $$(3 + 4)^2 = (7)^2 = 49$$
