In a quadratic equation of the form : $$ax^2 + bx + c = 0$$, the sum of the roots is given by = $$\frac{-b}{a}$$
= Ratio of negative coefficient of $$x$$ to coefficient of $$x^2$$
In equation (B) : $$x^{2} - 7x + 10 = 0$$
=> Sum of roots = $$\frac{-(-7)}{1} = 7$$
=> Ans - (B)
