What is the measure of central angle of the arc whose length is 11 cm and radius of the circle is 14 cm?

Solution

Radius = 14 cm and let central angle = $$\theta$$

Length of arc = $$\frac{\theta}{360} \times 2 \pi r = 11$$

=> $$\frac{\theta}{360} \times 2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times 14 = 11$$

= $$\frac{\theta}{360} \times 2 \times 2 = \frac{11}{22} = \frac{1}{2}$$

=> $$\theta = \frac{360}{8} = 45$$°

=> Ans - (A)
