Let the number to replace the question mark be equal to $$X$$
So, $$ 4\frac{2}{5} \times 3\frac{1}{3}-X= 5\frac{1}{3} $$
Therefore, $$\frac{22}{5} \times \frac{10}{3} - X = \frac{16}{3}$$
Or, $$\frac{44}{3} - X = \frac{16}{3}$$
So, $$X = \frac{28}{3} = 9\frac{1}{3}$$
