Let amount spent by the 8th friend = Rs. $$x$$
Amount spent by the 7 friends = $$14\times7=Rs.$$ $$98$$
Now, average expenditure of all 8 of them = $$\frac{(x+98)}{8}$$
According to ques,
=> $$x-\frac{(x+98)}{8}=21$$
=> $$\frac{8x-x-98}{8}=21$$
=> $$7x-98=21\times8=168$$
=> $$7x=168+98=266$$
=> $$x=\frac{266}{7}=38$$
$$\therefore$$ Total amount spent by all of them = Rs. $$38+98=Rs.$$ $$136$$
