Question 80

The ratio of the number of students studying in schools A, B and C is 5: 6: 8. If the number of students in each of the schools is increased by 30% 25% and 25% respectively, what will be the new ratio of the students in schools A, B and C?

Solution

The ratio of the number of students studying in schools A, B and C = 5: 6: 8.
Now, if the number of students in each of the schools is increased by 30% 25% and 25% respectively, the ratio = 5*1.3:6*1.25:8*1.25

                                                                                                                                                                 = 6.5:7.5:10

                                                                                                                                                                  = 13:15:20
Hence, the correct option is option B.
