age of Mahesh=12

Given, Mahesh is 3 times as old as Ramesh.

So age of Ramesh is=4

From options, we can see that when we put Mahesh's age to be 16, we get the age Ramesh to be 8.

∴ when Mahesh is 16 his age is twice that of Ramesh.
