average speed of the car =Â $$\frac{2\times\ speed\ of\ the\ car\ while\ going\ \times\ speed\ of\ the\ car\ while\ coming \ back}{speed\ of\ the\ car\ while\ going\ +\ speed\ of\ the\ car\ while\ coming\ back}$$
=Â $$\frac{2\times120\times80}{120+80}$$
= $$\frac{2\times120\times80}{200}$$
= $$1\times12\times8$$
= 96 km/h
