The number of commuters (both male and female) who travel on routes on D and E together is what percent more than the the number of commuters (Both male and female) who travel on route B ?

Solution

Percentage of commuters on Routes D & E = (16 + 10)% = 26%

Percentage of commuters on Route B = 18%

=> Required % = $$\frac{26 - 18}{18} \times 100$$

= $$\frac{400}{9} = 44 \frac{4}{9} \%$$
