$$\left(\frac{28}{4}\times7\right)+\left(\frac{44}{4}\times7\right)-12x=18$$
$$\left(7\times7\right)+\left(11\times7\right)-12x=18$$
$$49+77-12x=18$$
126-12x=18
12x = 126-18
12x = 108
x = 9
