The length of a rectangle is 5 times of its breadth. If the breadth is 10 cm, then what is the perimeter of the rectangle?

Solution

The length of a rectangle is 5 times of its breadth.

length = 5$$\times$$ breadth

If the breadth is 10 cm.

length = $$5\times10$$ = 50 cm

perimeter of the rectangle = 2(length+breadth)

= 2(50+10)

= $$2\times60$$

= 120 cm
