The Pie chart 1 given below shows the segregation of 40000000 candidates who have filled the form of an examination. Pie chart 2 shows the segregation 35000000 candidates who were present in the examination. The segregation in both pie charts has been done on the basis of their highest qualification.Â
50% of others who have filled the form are B. Arch. and 45% of others who were present in the exam are B. Arch. How many B. Arch. candidates did not gave the exam?
Candidates who have applied in others =Â $$(\frac{16}{100}\times40,000,000)=6,400,000$$
=> Candidates who have applied for B.Arch = $$\frac{50}{100}\times6,400,000=3,200,000$$
Candidates who have appeared in others =Â $$(\frac{14}{100}\times35,000,000)=4,900,000$$
=>Â Candidates who have appeared in B.Arch = $$\frac{45}{100}\times4,900,000=2,205,000$$
$$\therefore$$Â B. Arch candidates who did not gave the exam = $$3,200,000-2,205,000=995,000$$
