Candidates who applied in B.tech = $$\frac{18}{100}\times40,000,000=7,200,000$$

Candidates who appeared in M.B.A. = $$\frac{9}{100}\times35,000,000=3,150,000$$

=> Required difference = $$7,200,000-3,150,000=4,050,000$$
