If 40% of a number is 105 more than the one-fourth of that number, then what will be the difference between the number and 35% of the number?

Solution

Let the number be $$100x$$

To find : Difference between the number and 35% of the number = $$65\%$$ of the number = $$65x=?$$

According to ques,

=> $$\frac{40}{100}\times100x=\frac{100x}{4}+105$$

=> $$40x-25x=15x=105$$

=> $$x=\frac{105}{15}=7$$

$$\therefore$$ $$65x=65\times7=455$$

=> Ans - (C)
