Question 71

Simplify: $$\frac{\frac{1}{3}+\frac{1}{4}of\frac{2}{5}-\frac{1}{2}}{1\frac{2}{3}of\frac{3}{4}-\frac{3}{4}of\frac{4}{5}}$$

Solution

Expression : $$\frac{\frac{1}{3}+\frac{1}{4}of\frac{2}{5}-\frac{1}{2}}{1\frac{2}{3}of\frac{3}{4}-\frac{3}{4}of\frac{4}{5}}$$

= $$(\frac{1}{3}+\frac{1}{10}-\frac{1}{2})\div(\frac{5}{3}\times\frac{3}{4}-\frac{3}{5})$$

= $$(\frac{10+3-15}{30})\div(\frac{5}{4}-\frac{3}{5})$$

= $$(\frac{-2}{30})\div(\frac{13}{20})$$

= $$\frac{-1}{15}\times\frac{20}{13}$$

= $$\frac{-4}{39}$$

=> Ans - (D)
