If a number is reduced by 35%, then it becomes 416. By how much percent should the number be increased so that it become 876.8?

After reducing the number by 35%, it becomes = 416

=> Original number = $$\frac{416}{(100-35)}\times100$$

= $$\frac{32}{5}\times100=640$$

$$\therefore$$ % increase when number is increase to 876.8 = $$\frac{(876.8-640)}{640}\times100$$

= $$\frac{236.8}{6.4}=37\%$$
