Solution
Given : $$90\%$$ of $$X$$ = $$40\%$$ of $$Y$$
=> $$90X=40Y$$
=> $$\frac{Y}{X}=\frac{9}{4}$$ --------------(i)
$$\therefore$$ $$Y=a\%$$ of $$X$$
=> $$\frac{Y}{X}=\frac{a}{100}$$
=> $$a=\frac{9}{4}\times100=225$$
