The perimeter of a rectangle is 60 cm and its breadth is 12 cm. What is the area of the rectangle ?
Perimeter of rectangle = 60 cm
=> $$2 (l + b) = 60$$
=> $$l + 12 = \frac{60}{2} = 30$$
=> $$l = 30 - 12 = 18$$ cm
$$\therefore$$ Area of rectangle = $$(l \times b)$$
= $$18 \times 12 = 216 cm^2$$
