Given, AB = 4 cm, AC = 6 cm and BP = 3 cm

AP bisects $$\angle$$BAC

By the angle bisector theorem,

$$\frac{BP}{CP}=\frac{AB}{AC}$$

$$\Rightarrow$$ $$\frac{3}{CP}=\frac{4}{6}$$

$$\Rightarrow$$ CP = $$\frac{18}{4}$$

$$\Rightarrow$$ CP = 4.5 cm

Hence, the correct answer is Option D
