Question 69

If Shivan walks at the rate of 19 km/h. How much time(in minutes) will he take to cover 665 m?

Solution

As we know, 1000 meter = 1 km

1 meter = $$\frac{1}{1000}$$ km

665 meter = $$\frac{1\times\ 665}{1000}$$ km = 0.665 km

If Shivan walks at the rate of 19 km/h.

Time taken to cover 0.665 km = $$\frac{0.665}{19}$$

= 0.035 hours

As we know 1 hour = 60 minutes

So 0.035 hours = $$0.035\times60$$ minutes

= 2.1 minutes

= $$\frac{21}{10}$$ minutes

= $$2\frac{1}{10}$$ minutes
