A, B and C can complete a piece of work in 5, 20 and 60 days respectively. Working together, they can complete the same work in how many days?
Solution
A, B and C can complete a piece of work in 5, 20 and 60 days respectively
Let the work be 60 units
So work of A = 12 units / day
Work of B = 3 units / day
Work of C = 1 unit/day
Now together they will work : 12+3+1 = 16 units / day
Therefore the time taken to complete the work = 60/16 = 15/4 days =$$3\ \frac{3}{4}\ days$$
