Walking at the rate of 4 km per hour, a man covers a certain distance in 3 hours 45 minutes. If he covers the same distance on cycle, cycling at the rate of 16.5 km/hours, the time taken by him is

Speed of man = 4 km/hr and time taken = 3 hrs and 45 minutes = $$3\frac{3}{4}=\frac{15}{4}$$ hours

=> Distance = speed $$\times$$ time

= $$4\times\frac{15}{4}=15$$ km

Speed of cycling = 16.5 km/hr

=> Time taken while cycling = $$\frac{15}{16.5}=\frac{10}{11}$$ hours

= $$\frac{10}{11}\times60\approx54.55$$ minutes

=> Ans - (B)
