Question 67

The diagonal of a square is 10√2 cm, find its perimeter?

Solution

Let the side of square = $$s$$ cm and diagonal, $$d = 10\sqrt{2}$$ cm

=> $$(s)^2 + (s)^2 = (d)^2$$

=> $$2s^2 = (10\sqrt{2})^2 = 200$$

=> $$s^2 = \frac{200}{2} = 100$$

=> $$s = \sqrt{100} = 10$$ cm

$$\therefore$$ Perimeter of square = $$4 \times 10 = 40$$ cm

=> Ans - (D)
