Rita purchased a car with a marked price of rs. 2,10,000 at a discount of 5%. If the sales tax charged is 10%, find the amount she has to pay.

Solution

Marked price = Rs. 2,10,000

Discount % = 5%

=> Selling price = $$2,10,000-(\frac{5}{100}\times2,10,000)$$

= $$2,10,000-10,500=Rs.$$ $$1,99,500$$

Sales tax = 10%

$$\therefore$$ Total amount to be paid = $$1,99,500+(\frac{10}{100}\times1,99,500)$$

= $$1,99,500+19,950=Rs.$$ $$2,19,450$$

=> Ans - (C)
