In a school 60% of the students are girls. If number of boys is 480, then what is the total number of students in the school?
Solution
Let total number of students = $$100x$$
=> Number of girls = $$\frac{60}{100}\times100x=60x$$
=> Number of boys = $$100x-60x=40x$$
According to ques, => $$40x=480$$
=> $$x=\frac{480}{40}=12$$
$$\therefore$$ Total number of students = $$100\times12=1200$$
=> Ans - (A)
