A rectangular field is 90 m × 50 m Inside the field there is path of width 5 m borderine the field. What is the area of the path ?
Solution
To find : Area of shaded ragion
Solution : Area of field ABCD = $$90 \times 50 = 4500 m^2$$
Width of path = 5 m
=> GH = 80 m and EH = 40 m
=> Area of EFGH = $$80 \times 40 = 3200 m^2$$
$$\therefore$$ Area of path = Area of ABCD - Area of EFGH
= $$4500 - 3200 = 1300 m^2$$
