78 x 1 y 68 is divisible by 88 means it will be divisible by 11 and 8

So, the number will be divisible 8 if last three digits is divisible by 8 so, y = 1, 3, 5, 7, 9

but for divisibility by 11 the sum of odd digit places no - sum of even digit place no will be 0

(7 + x + y + 8) - (8 + 1 + 6) = 0

15 + x + y - 15 = 0 so x+y = 0
