The area of a circle is 2464 $$cm^{2}$$.

area of a circle = $$\pi\ \times\left(radius\right)^2$$

$$2464 = \pi\ \times\left(radius\right)^2$$

$$2464=\frac{22}{7}\ \times\left(radius\right)^2$$

$$112=\frac{1}{7}\ \times\left(radius\right)^2$$

$$(radius)^2 = 16\times7\times7$$

$$(radius)^2=4^2\times7^2$$

radius = $$4\times7$$ = 28 cm

diameter of this circle = $$2\times radius$$

= $$2\times 28$$

= 56 cm
