Question 65

Simplify the following expression:
$$8\div4 \text{of}  2-15\div2  \text{of} 5-6\div5\times(-7+5)  \text{of} 2$$

Solution

$$8\div4  \text{of}  2-15\div2  \text{of}  5-6\div5\times(-7+5)  \text{of}  2$$

= $$8\div4  \text{of}  2-15\div2  \text{of}  5-6\div5\times(-2)  \text{of}  2$$

= $$8\div8-15\div10-6\div5\times(-4)$$

= $$\frac{8}{8}-\frac{15}{10}-\frac{6}{5}\times(-4)$$

= $$1-\frac{3}{2}+\frac{24}{5}$$

= $$\frac{10-15+48}{10}$$

= $$\frac{43}{10}$$

= $$4\frac{3}{10}$$

Hence, the correct answer is Option D
