By the property,
When AB = AC then $$\angle ABC = \angle ACB$$
We know that,
$$\angle ABC + \angle ACB + \angle BAC = 180^\circ$$
$$2\angle ABC =Â 180^\circ -Â 40^\circ$$
$$\angle ABC = 140/2 =Â 70^\circ$$
