If 7x1=12; 5x4=2; 6x4=4; then what is the value of 7x4 = ?

Solution

The pattern followed is that the positive difference of the number is multiplied by 2.

Eg : 7x1 = $$(7-1)\times2=6\times2=12$$

and 5x4 = $$(5-4)\times2=1\times2=2$$

and 6x4 = $$(6-4)\times2=2\times2=4$$

Similarly, 7x4 = $$(7-4)\times2=3\times2=6$$
