If -4$1 = 4, 7$-7 = 49 and 3$1 = -3, then find the value of -8$-5 = ?

Solution

Given : -4$1 = 4, 7$-7 = 49 and 3$1 = -3

If we replace '$' with $$'\times'$$ and multiply the product with '-1', then we will get the desired result.

Eg :- $$(-4\times1)\times(-1)=4$$

and $$(7\times-7)\times(-1)=49$$

and $$(3\times1)\times(-1)=-3$$

Similarly, $$(-8\times-5)\times(-1)=-40$$

=> Ans - (C)
