A bag contains the amount of ₹25.8 in the form of 1 rupee, 50 paise and 10 paise coins and are in the ratio of 3 : 2 : 3. How many 50 paise coins are there in the bag?
Let the number of 1 rupee, 50 paisa and 10 paisa are 3x, 2x and 3x respectively.
Now, According to question,
$$3x\times\ 1+2x\times\ \frac{50}{100}+3x\times\ \frac{10}{100}=25.8$$
$$\frac{43x}{10}=25.8$$
x = $$\frac{258}{43}$$
x = 6
Number of 50 paise coins : 2x
i.e; $$2\times\ 6=12$$
Hence, Option C is correct.
