Solution

Let the ages of A, B and C respectively be $$5x,8x$$ and $$9x$$ years.

According to ques, => $$5x+9x=56$$

=> $$x=\frac{56}{14}=4$$

$$\therefore$$ B's age = $$8\times4=32$$ years

=> Ans - (D)
