The following equation is incorrect. Which two signs should be interchanged to correct the equation?

20 + 12 x 35 - 20 ÷ 10 = 31

Solution

Expression : 20 + 12 x 35 - 20 ÷ 10 = 31

(A) : ÷ and -

$$\equiv20+12\times35\div20-10=31$$

L.H.S. = $$20+(12\times\frac{35}{20})-10$$

= $$20+21-10=31=$$ R.H.S.

=> Ans - (A)
