Solution
Average of 6 numbers = 18
=> Total sum of the numbers = $$(18\times6)=108$$
Let excluded number = $$x$$
New average = $$\frac{108-x}{5}=17$$
=> $$108-x=17\times5=85$$
=> $$x=108-85=23$$
=> Ans - (B)
