A pentagonal prism has 15 edges. How many vertices does it have?

Solution

Pentagonal Prism :

Euler's formula : $$V + F - E = 2$$ where V is number of vertices , F is number of faces and E is number of edges.

Pentagonal Prism has 15 edges and 7 faces.

=> $$V = 2 + E - F = 2 + 15 - 7$$

=> $$V = 17 - 7 = 10$$

=> Ans - (B)
