The difference in selling price of an article whenit is sold at 20% profit and 18% loss is ₹570. If it is sold at 12% loss, then what will be the selling price of the article?

Solution

Let s be the selling price.

A/c to question ,

$$\frac{120}{100}s - \frac{82}{100}s = 570 $$

s = $$\frac{570 \times 100}{38}$$ = 1500

At 12% loss, the SP would be = .88 $$\times$$ 1500 = 1320

So, the answer would be option c)1320.
