The pie chart given below represents the expenditure of a country on various sports during 2015. study the pie chart and answer the question that follows.

If the total amount spent on sports during 2015 is ₹5,20,00,000, the amount (in ₹) spent on Hockey is how much more than that spent on Basketball?

Solution

If the total amount spent on sports during 2015 is ₹5,20,00,000.

total amount spent on sports during 2015 = $$(85+74+77+65+59)^{\circ\ }=52000000$$

$$360^{\circ\ }=52000000$$

$$9^{\circ\ }=1300000$$

Difference of amount spent on Hockey and Basketball = $$(74-65)^{\circ\ }$$

$$9^{\circ\ }=1300000$$

So the amount (in ₹) spent on Hockey is 1300000 more than that spent on Basketball.
